The Transformation House will be dedicated to transforming the lives of those in need. We seek to “bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners.” (Isaiah 61:1) By supplying those in need with a network of support and encouragement, we seek to restore each one to become a productive, functioning part of our community.
We will strive to show the love and mercy of Jesus, through the power of His Spirit, in order to see lives changed. We seek to build up and disciple the entire person regardless of their race or social status.
Transforming Through Training
The Transformation House is a training and equipping facility for the whole person—emotionally, physically and spiritually. Job training skills are acquired through classroom style teaching and by on the job training. Group sessions for those coping with addictions will be conducted regularly. And Christian study classes will be available weekly to those who live in the home and to those in the community.
Transforming Through Mentoring
Their will also be individual ‘mentoring’ for each one who stays in one of our homes. We believe that one of the vital keys to transformation is relationship. We are all to be a part of a community that truly cares for one another. Those recovering from addictions or abusive situations, need someone who will without judgment encourage and help them past their temptations. For that reason a ‘friend’ who’s responsibility is to simply be available will be assigned to each resident
Transforming Through Christ
The underlying principle on which all else is built is the transformation which ultimately comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We “are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
That transformation begins as each one submits to learning and applying the principles set forth in God’s instructions to us. “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is” (Romans 12:2)
It is our responsibility to ‘be Jesus’ to those around us. Just as He reached out to the poor, the rejected and the outcast, we must follow His example. We ask that you join us in expanding His Kingdom through these acts of love and mercy.
