He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

Every year 15 million children die of hunger
In 2004, almost 1 billion people lived below the international poverty line, earning less than $1 per day|
3 billion people in the world today struggle to survive on US$2/day or less.
One out of every eight children under the age of twelve in the U.S. goes to bed hungry every night.
Every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger
Approx 39.5 million people are living with HIV/AIDS in the world. 63 percent live in Sub-Saharan Africa
In 2006, 4.3 million people become infected with HIV and 2.9 million people died of AIDS

“At last count, more than 1,300 people were homeless in Knoxville. While many of those people spend their nights in shelters, others choose public spaces like under bridges and overpasses… There are several bridges known as hot spots for homeless camps. The new Summit Hill bridge, the overpasses created by I-40 and a bridge along Broadway by Jackson Avenue are just a few.” (Knoxville News-Sentinel, July 17, 2007)

WE ARE TO BE THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS TO THE POOR, THE OUTCAST AND THE OVERLOOKED ONES. We try to accomplish this through various means. Not as another social program, but as a caring, loving community for all, regardless of race, religion, economic status or any other condition.
