Mark Skiles – Pastor
Mark has served in a variety of church leadership positions over his past thirty years of ministry as a teacher, deacon, elder and musician / worship leader. Mark became pastor of The V in November 2005. His lifelong vocation has been in the computer industry where he now serves as an Information Systems Manager, but his passion is to see the kingdom of God established and the hearts of believers matured and united.
Mark and his wife, Robin have three beautiful children.Tiffany, a worship leader and keyboardist for our congregation, who is attending the University of Tennessee; Kimberly, a bass player who also enjoys serving and Jonathan, an up and coming guitarist who works with our A/V equipment . Dennis Ferguson
Dennis has been in the pastoral ministry for over ten years. He has a Master of Divinity degree from New Brunswick Theological Seminary and was previously the pastor of a Reformed Church of America in New Jersey. He also has a Master of Social Work degree from Adelphia University and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Psychology from Seton Hall University. He has spent his professional career as a social worker, successful in casework and crisis intervention.
Dennis and his wife, Donna, were prompted by the Holy Spirit to move to Knoxville from New Jersey in 2008 and to join with this community of believers. Both Dennis and Donna are gifted to ‘encourage the oppressed’ through prayer and wise counsel. Tiffany is a student at UT, double majoring in music and business. She has been leading worship since she was fifteen and is an accomplished pianist/keyboard player.
